Job Description

Technology is at critical to our digital strategy – a top priority for McDonald’s.  The IT Development PMO team is looking for a skilled senior project manager to play a critical leadership role in bringing the McDonald’s digital vision to life in our Global Market Place.

 

Responsibilities

In this high impact role, you will be responsible for the project management of the development of our Integration of Home Delivery with the McDonalds Mobile App solution from requirements through market acceptance, ultimately ensuring that the McDonald’s digital vision comes to life.  Our Home Delivery solution requires a level of technology integration and cross-functional collaboration surpassing our most complex initiatives to date.  The role is ideal for a self-driven leader and change agent who has an aptitude for leading teams from vision through the delivery of business results.  Additional responsibilities include:



•Orchestrate high performing teams made up of Corporate IT technical product and service project managers, ensuring key priorities are moved forward with speed.

•Work closely with the Corporate Development organization, Digital Organization & Strategic Partners to integrate and implement the Delivery and Mobile app solution.

•Directly manage scope definition, roadmaps, integrated project schedules, roles and responsibilities, program status, governance, alignment, risk mitigation, issue resolution and communications.

•Understand or rapidly develop understanding of the technology and how it works together to create one solution.

•Interface with Market IT, Digital and Operations teams to deliver comprehensive localized digital solutions.

•Sets project quality and performance standards

Minimum Requirements

 

·Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college is REQUIRED

 

 

· A minimum of 7 years project management

 

 

· 5-7 years of experience leading complex cross-functional IT initiatives.

 

 

· 3-5 years of experience as a PM in a Global PMO environment

 

 

· 2+ years of experience with Digital Technologies

 

 

 

·Exceptional influence skills – demonstrated ability to create followership, orchestrate and motivate teams from planning through the delivery of solutions.

 

·Experience working in a highly ambiguous matrixed organization.

 

 

·Adapts to changes in priorities with ease, comfortable working “in the gray” while defining the way forward.

 

 

·Desire and ability to build strong, cohesive relationships at all levels of the organization; up, down, and across.

 

 

·Demonstrated technical acumen.

 

 

·Ability to deliver information in a clear, concise way, ensuring the organization makes rapid and informed decisions.

 

 

·Talented facilitator who skillfully leads strategy creation and planning discussions.

 

 

·Self-driven leader who actively works to remove barriers to achieving results.

 

 

·Strong Project Management skills – PMP or other Project Management Certification preferred.

 

 

·Understanding of strategic change methodologies.

 

 

·Experience working with global teams preferred.



Preferred:

 

Minimum 5 years knowledge and experience applying Agile practices and principles including SAFe, Scrum and/or Kanban including demonstrated ability to inspect and adapt Agile practices to various situations Preference will be given to applicants who have launched, stabilized and optimized at the SAFe Portfolio level
