Sr Technical Program Manager – Strategic Analytics

We are looking for an all-star Sr. Program Manager that can lead our engagement with key business stakeholders, and partner with Product Management, Technology/Engineering, and sister data science teams to develop, design and deploy integrated analytical data products. They will also work with key stakeholders to align on, and maintain, an integrated product delivery roadmap that addresses tangible business needs. They will also play a lead project manager role on high-profile strategic projects that the team undertakes.

 

As part of the Nordstrom’s centralized Data Science and Analytics team, the Strategic Analytics team focuses on supporting executive management with robust decision support data science. Here we build data science products and provide analytics consulting in support of strategic business decisions, including customer personalization, marketing, merchandise, supply chain, and digital experience. We work as the quantitative right-hand for the executive team with a passion for supporting data-driven decision making, a devotion to advanced techniques, along with a creative team spirit!

Responsibilities… What you’ll do

  • Expertly collaborates with business stakeholders and product management to bring the “Strategic Analytics Data Products Vision” to life, and inject data science into Nordstrom business processes
  • Proactively identifies feature opportunities and works independently to size the potential impact of opportunities
  • Identifies issues that may impede success and provides recommendations for solutions
  • Manages risks, assumptions, dependencies
  • Is accountable for tracking overall goals and KPIs for quality of data product output, adoption, and business impact
  • Improve processes, eliminate red tape and be on the lookout for ways to get projects into production faster, while maintaining high rigor and quality
  • Mentors, attracts, and develops talent on the team and across the Nordstrom analytical community
  • On high-profile strategic projects, play a lead role in coordinating work that needs to be done across multiple analytics teams to ensure timely delivery of quality work to stakeholders
  • You’ll deeply understand the business and proactively spot risks and opportunities

 

Ideal Requirements and Background

  • 5 + years of related experience (e.g., project management, business process improvement, financial planning).
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated success formulating strategy and guiding implementation with technology and data/analytics teams
  • Experience drafting complex technical requirements
  • Experience and familiarity with data systems and products including AWS, Teradata, ETL best practices, dashboard optimization and machine learning methodologies.
  • Successfully driven complex multi-stakeholder processes and cross-team programs to desired results while managing risk.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships, influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills for a large, multi-discipline organization.

Minimum - $12.55/hr

Maximum - $46.10/hr

 

Salary (Non-Exempt and Exempt)

Minimum - $30,200/annual

Maximum - $289,200/annual
