The purpose of this role is to support the fast paced growth of Home Chef’s retail business via its sales and marketing efforts with Kroger and other partners. On the Retail Strategy team, you will be responsible for initiative prioritization and informing where the Retail team should invest its time, energy and capital to sustain a rapid and profitable growth trajectory. Detailed Responsibilities:

• Support the development of overall Retail Strategy and Priorities
• Support development of strategic planning for the total retail business
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis and sizing of various initiatives to inform the prioritization of time, resources, and capital across the retail business
• Surface insights to the VP of Retail and Sr Director of Retail Strategy to inform the 12-month retail growth plan
• Lead weekly business review cycle and support quarterly & annual planning
• Lead the weekly business review process to identify key storylines and trends affecting the revenue and profitability performance of the retail business
• Compile outputs for monthly business review with Home Chef executive leadership and quarterly output to Kroger executive leadership, under the direction of Sr Director of Retail Strategy
• Manage ad-hoc projects to develop business cases for Home Chef or Kroger leadership
• Conduct financial analysis and target setting
• Conduct analyses to identify profitability levers across price, promotion, and inventory management
• Collaborate with retail forecasting team on inventory management strategy 
• Own the test-and-learn strategy for the retail business, including success benchmarks and test tracking
• Identify strategic initiatives to drive growth and profitability
• Collaborate with retail teams including marketing, sales, forecasting, category management and operations to executive initiatives

Qualifications:

• The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or other characteristics needed for this role.
• Ability to turn complex questions and issues into clear questions, analysis and results
• Self starter, who can identify key business initiatives and prioritize the work
• 2+ years of experience in a rigorous fast-paced work environment – consulting, finance, data analytics, manufacturing, CPG, communication and relationship building skills
• Exceptional Excel and Google Sheets analytics; coding experience (e.g. Python) preferred
• Experienced at developing executive-level outputs in Powerpoint and communicating findings to leadership
• Previous experience with fresh/perishable products preferred
• Consulting experience preferred
