Technical Implementation Representative

Vail Systems is looking for a Technical Implementation Representative who possesses both technical competency and a background interfacing with clients. This position works closely with internal engineering and external support teams to positively impact the delivery and support of custom client solutions.

 
Responsibilities

  • Report to the Technical Implementation Manager and execute assigned project tasks.
  • Assist the product support team to design solutions for complex customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and support internal and customer testing of new code releases within staging environments prior to production deployment
  • Work closely with multiple teams, including operations and engineering, to deploy customer solutions.
  • Develop documents, reports and test results that are both user friendly and technically sound.
  • Function as point of contact for business development and product support teams when troubleshooting customer issues such as network connectivity, web services and VoIP applications.
  • Exhibit an understanding of the multiple components involved in Vail’s VoIP/Data products and services, along with the platforms on which they operate.
  • Assist in training co-workers on Vail’s products, technology and system architecture.

Qualifications

  • History of working with both customers and technology.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Linux, Mac, and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience using scripting languages such as shell, perl and Python for automating tasks.
  • Familiarity with networking and software application development.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience is desired.
  • At least one (1) year of implementation or engineering experience in similar industry -- including co-op or internship -- is desired, but not required.
