Technical Project Manager -Versay

Versay Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager familiar with managing custom development projects. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be expected to be the primary point of contact for all assigned customers. You would manage the schedules and resources for all project team members to ensure project deliverables are being accomplished on time. This role is team-oriented, as you will collaborate with other highly technical staff to accomplish project deliverables and mentor or assist team members with their tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background to successfully create and maintain project plans end-to-end. The candidate will have knowledge of software development processes, waterfall and agile project management methodology, project management scheduling, and risk management. Additionally, the candidate will be customer-focused, adaptable, and organized.

What you’ll do:

  • Generate estimates of timeline and workload of projects by communicating with developers, test engineers, and others
  • Keep track of all worked hours by all team members a part of the project to calculate total hours spent
  • Work with internal teams to determine project scope
  • Write and review the statements of work
  • Set up the project plan in Jira and create appropriate tasks and assign/delegate to team members
  • Develop the project schedule for all members
  • Schedule and speak with customers for customer meetings throughout the project’s lifecycle
  • Manage weekly status meetings by presenting status updates and reviewing blockers and their subsequent solutions
  • Update risk and issue logs
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports
  • Lead design review meetings
  • Coordinate with quality assurance team members to execute test plans

Minimum qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another Technology related degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Proficiency with Jira
  • Experience with MS project or related tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Mentorship experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of software project management experience
  • Knowledge of Atlassian (Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with software development
  • Knowledge of IVR
