Web Design Project Manager
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS:
Manage the activities of staff and consultants related to Internet site development, including programming, database development and content design. Performs related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Identify best practices for Web sites and ecommerce activities. Provide technical direction on all Web and ecommerce initiatives. Provide data control and access for web site. Review web designs with Park District marketing experts to help prioritize objectives and ensure uniform and modern design objectives with consistent standards. Oversee web employees and vendors’ project plans and work. Provide proposals and solutions for new web and data initiatives. Provide technical assistance to Park District department content developers to ensure quality content and presentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field plus three to five (3 – 5) years of related experience is required; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of general business and management practices. Thorough knowledge of information management systems, computer design techniques and controls and computer operations procedures and techniques. Effective communication skills.
