West Monroe Partners is currently seeking a Server & Patching Engineer. We have both local and remote clients and resources that need operations support for their infrastructure. This role will provide support and operational maintenance to server environments, including but not limited to Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, and Exchange. Additionally, experience with basic network configuration and some exposure to storage technologies would be valuable in this role.

Hours of this position are: Monday and Wednesday from 8am to 6pm, & Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 8am.

Qualifications:
Demonstrate an understanding of technology as it pertains to infrastructure and applications and be able to respond to NOC escalations, provide operational maintenance, perform upgrades and troubleshoot issues. Individuals may need to discuss issues with the performance services clients, so some customer service experience is also preferred. Individuals will be contributing to client satisfaction by providing clients with timely and responsive services.

Specific skills include, but are not limited to, the ability to:
* Serve as an escalation point for tier two support and provide advanced troubleshooting capabilities
* Understand and execute standard escalation procedures
* Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients
* Strong background in server platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, File/Print, and Exchange
* Experience with network troubleshooting and basic setup and configuration
* Preference for background and knowledge in operating and maintaining servers on a virtualized environment (VMWare)
* Experience with Azure and AWS preferred
* Background in enterprise security concepts or security certifications preferred
* Linux experience a plus

Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent required
* 1-3 years of similar work experience with some client facing responsibilities
* Experience working with Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, File/Print, Active Directory, and server management tools (backup, anti-virus)
* Preference to have experience with VMWare
* Some Cisco experience preferred
* Any storage and backup experience a plus
* Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
* Microsoft (MCP, MCSA) certifications preferred
* Security fundamentals certifications preferred (Security+, GSEC, CEH)
