Job Description
As part of the Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team, the Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management Resource Planning Center of Excellence is looking for a strategic, analytical, and energetic professional to support the Wholesale Lending Services organization. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity on our Finance & Business M team ensuring senior management across the Commercial Bank have visibility into major initiatives, business metrics, financials, and data insights to achieve their strategic objectives. This role will partner closely with senior Operations leaders and key partners across Commercial & Investment Bank Finance, Business Management and Data & Analytics teams to enable effective end-to-end execution.
As a Resource Planning Senior Associate in the Commercial Banking Finance & Business Management team, you will be responsible for partnering with Wholesale Lending Services and Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management teams to budget and forecast headcount and direct expenses. You will also participate in the activity based costing process used to allocate expenses across Line Of Businesses and downstream client profitability system.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with Wholesale Lending Services and Commercial & Investment Bank Finance & Business Management teams to budget and forecast headcount and direct expenses
- Participate in the activity based costing process used to allocate expenses across Line Of Businesses and downstream client profitability system
- Partner with Finance to build out loan origination forecasting models, and transfer those results into actionable volume forecasts
- Assist with build out and enhancement of capacity models across Wholesale Lending Services functions and activities
- Plan deliverables for an organization, partnering with business leaders and finance to model the impact of various business drivers to that organization's staffing needs
- Define, design and lead high priority strategic initiatives with senior level visibility
- Analyze large amounts of data to create impactful analysis to assist in developing Wholesale Lending Services strategy and solve complex business problems, leveraging toolsets such as: Qlik Sense, Tableau, SQL
- Participate in the budget and planning process, including supporting analytics and forecasting
- Conduct monthly capacity plan calls with senior business leaders, participating in hiring decisions and operational planning
- Interact and influence colleagues at all levels in the business and achieve goals without direct control over all resources
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience in banking, with Financial Services experience
- Strong presentation skills and ability to tell the story on initiatives
- Ability to work collaboratively; develop strong partnership with multiple levels of employees
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast paced environment
- Ability to interpret and present complex data
- Ability to develop strong, positive relationships with business stakeholders
- Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player
- Strong Excel skills
- Statistics/KPI experience
