What you’ll do:
•   Pro-actively keep track of relevant news that might impact our trading positions and strategies
•   Identify, monitor, measure, report and communicate market risk exposure for trading activities and the company’s IT risks (i.e. automation risk in electronic trading)
•   Perform stress tests on our trading positions and monitor regulatory capital limits
•   Collaborate with software developers to develop/maintain risk tools
•   Analyze orders and quoting behavior of our electronic execution strategies and analyze incidents through discussion with technical experts in IT / Development
•   Establish relationships with the IT, Trading and Business Operations groups in order to better assess Optiver’s risk profile
•   Provide analysis independently and draft recommendations to Trading and Risk Management

What you’ll need:
•   Bachelor’s degree in a financial, technical or related field
•   At least 1 year relevant experience in IT and/or Risk within the Financial Industry
•   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•   Basic knowledge of programming (Python or similar)
•   Basic understanding of Options pricing theory and/or the ability to understand trading strategies
•   Understanding or desire to learn Risk Management / Business Analysis activities and techniques
•   Ability to make tough decisions in a high pressure environment 
•   Proficiency in Excel, VBA and/or SQL proficiency preferred
•   Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening
