We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join a growing unit on the Sales Team. You will work with some of the most innovative companies in the world, equipping them with an experience research solution they need to become more customer-centric. You thrive in prospecting and earning people’s time and attention by clearly communicating value. You love to uncover business pains and set Account Executives up to conduct effective and tailored demonstrations, and you are receptive to coaching, training, and feedback from peers. 

This role may provide opportunities for multiple career paths in later years, such as continuing as an individual contributor by moving into an Account Executive or Account Management role. What you will do at dscout:

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting (phone, email, social media and other channels) 
  • Qualify leads and advance them to the next stage in the sales process
  • Field inbound leads from marketing channels
  • Research prospects and prioritize leads based on ideal customer profiles, and needs discovered in the prospecting process
  • Research accounts in order to overcome objections that ultimately generate quality opportunities for the account executive team
  • Collaborate with account executives and the marketing team to create a positive experience for prospects, while developing effective strategies to penetrate existing and new markets
  • Manage follow-ups with calls-to-action to maintain and grow the sales pipeline
  • Exceed activity and pipeline goals on a monthly basis
  • Routinely provide feedback to sales and marketing teams to calibrate on lead quality and conversions
  • Develop a deep understanding of the industry and dscout use-cases that serve our customers and meet them where their needs are

What you will bring to dscout:

  • 1+ years in a client-facing role 
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills 
  • Able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment; adaptive to change
  • Track record of exceeding goals based on defined KPIs
  • A passion for generating new business
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative work environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, disciplined, and reliable
  • Intellectually curious, always willing to learn and continuously improve
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) experience preferred
  • Experience working in Salesforce, Outreach, Vidyard, Sales Navigator or other sales management software

Our base salary range for this role is $53,000 - $62,000 per year, with On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $78,000 to $100,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, including the successful candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
