CancerIQ is a venture-backed digital health company that uses predictive analytics to help doctors understand their patient's risk of getting cancer and dying from cancer. By making it faster and cheaper for providers to order cancer genetic testing and interpret results, we improve patient access to life-saving services that can preempt or prevent this devastating disease. We market our solutions nationwide to cancer centers, breast centers and genetics practices, and have grown 30x since emerging from private beta in Spring 2016.

Responsibilities

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling new business to healthcare providers and administrators in the Northeast territory. Prior experience selling in the healthcare space is strongly preferred, as well as someone who is driven to surpass goals while delivering a great experience to prospects, clients and coworkers. We need someone who knows what it takes to build something from the ground up, who treats the “job” as his or her own business, and thrives on learning about new innovations in the genetics and genomics space.

Initial Prospect Demos with Clinicians and Healthcare Providers

  • Creating a custom PowerPoint presentation and conducting live demos over the web or in person
  • Sending nurturing emails to the move the prospect to the next stage in the buyer’s journey

Follow-up Meetings with Healthcare Administrators

  • Preparing a preliminary quote and including an ROI estimate in the deck if needed
  • Tying CancerIQ solutions to Executive-level goals

Late-Stage Deal Follow-up

  • Using proposal templates to create a tailored proposal for the Economic Buyer
  • Using Excel to generate a detailed ROI analysis, or whatever supportive material is needed to justify the purchase
  • Presenting to all administrative stakeholders involved in the final decision-making process

Negotiation and Contracting

  • Engaging with clinical users on a regular basis during the contracting process
  • Handing things off to the Customer Success team to create an implementation plan

Closing

  • Preparing introductory remarks during the initial kick off, and closing the meeting with next steps
  • Traveling to the client site for the initial go live, and assisting with client transition to the customer success team

Requirements

  • Individuals to be considered for this position should have strong strategic thinking skills, extensive knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, ability to network, and a proven track record of success in sales, demonstrated examples of leadership or management, preferably the oncology, women's health, or molecular diagnostics markets.
  • 5-12 years of experience in an enterprise or B2B sales position (no more or no less please)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Consultative, value-based selling experience preferred
  • Experience with Enterprise Saas, EMRs or other healthcare technology
  • Personal or professional ties to the Northeast region preferred
  • Initial sales are conducted over the web from our headquarters in Chicago, but this role will require about 30%-40% travel to the New York metro area
