As an Account Manager, you will manage executive-level relationships and MAU growth of existing PerkSpot employer accounts. Your experience in HR vendors and enterprise sales will help as you actively nurture and grow existing accounts.

Meet the Client Sales Team
Our Client Sales team is comprised of outgoing, proactive individuals who are proud to function as PerkSpot’s main brand ambassadors. In collaboration with other AEs, Sales Managers, and Client Success Managers, you will work with executive-level contacts on a large number of accounts to improve overall engagement with the PerkSpot platform. Your success will be determined by KPIs, but it will also serve to help a growing amount of users take full advantage of all that PerkSpot has to offer.
Life as an Account Manager:
- Familiarizing yourself with assigned clients, those with the potential of 500 MAUs or greater
- Providing recommendations to executive contacts on how to increase employee engagement with the PerkSpot platform
- Managing executive relationships at the high level - sending thank you and holiday gifts, conducting check-in calls, anniversary recognitions, etc.
- Managing executive relationships at the day-to-day level - maintaining contact cadence, upselling, and running product demos
- Managing intros to the Rewards & Recognition sales team, when applicable
- Working with Client Strategist to supervise account operations and plan necessary communications to executives
- Conducting quarterly, bi-annual and/or annual business reviews with executives
- Overseeing executive leadership transitions, when applicable
- Working with team leadership to optimize PerkSpot’s client management process
- Attending regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategies
- Constantly think of ways to make the PerkSpot experience better and more effective for its customers
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of experience in client success, sales, and/or account management
- Proven knowledge in client growth; must be well-versed in client management, upselling, and negotiating
- Past success in upselling, cross-selling, and strategically mapping out client growth path
- Experience managing a large book of clientele; enterprise client and/or stakeholder management experience preferred
- Highly professional and effective style of communication
- Strategic and calm problem-solving skills; organized mindset, even when it comes to dealing with several issues at once
- Collaborative and team-focused mindset - ability to work with various personalities and work styles
- Ability to manage your own workload - there are no micromanagers on the sales team!
- Resourceful and adaptable attitude
- Visible commitment to the success of your clients and PerkSpot
- Positive attitude and a thoughtful approach to upselling and contract negotiation
- Proven understanding of PerkSpot’s values as a whole and a willingness to work hard to achieve overall company goals

Your First Few Months
During your first month, you’ll work with the Client Success and Sales teams to understand the PerkSpot client base, and what makes them successful. Then, you’ll get a crash course in our product, and your expected KPIs - addressable member growth, growth in R&R funding, and clients piloting a spot rewards initiative. From there, it’s all about relationship building - with your coworkers, your managers, and most importantly, your employe executive contacts. Your commitment to their success with PerkSpot will help nail down our growth as a business for the long-term.

We work out of our office in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Chicago + Remote: We have a solid footprint in Chicago, but we also hire exceptionally talented people who reside elsewhere.
We love the friendships we've forged in our Chicago office. But let's be real; things have changed. We don't plan to all return 100% in-office, but our office and gym are open on an optional basis for all employees who feel comfortable, including happy hours and team events. However, because culture and relationships are important to us, all candidates should be open to being in-office with their teams at pre-arranged times throughout the year. The specifics vary by role, so please discuss your plans with the hiring team.
