Orverve is seeking a Account Manager to support a new innovation hub.

Orderve is a start-up that is building an online marketplace dedicated to restaurants discovering and sourcing specialty food for their businesses. We are challenging the legacy food service business model with an e-commerce marketplace platform that will connect chefs with vendors small and large. What you’ll do

As Orderve grows, we have a need for an Account Manager to organize, support and grow our sales efforts nationwide. As the Account Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of both an outside and inside sales team to annual targets. You will also be responsible for maintaining and growing sales within your designated region by both removing sale barriers, building creative new sales tactics and implementing growth strategies. In order to accomplish all these tasks is it important that the Account Manager communicates and interfaces across all departments to fully understand the company's process. 

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance many responsibilities simultaneously

  • Knowledge of, and preferably experience with sales, cultivating relationships, developing new business, and providing innovative solutions to our customers.

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities, willing to foster relationships with new and current customers

  • Experience with meeting and/or exceeding sales goals and quotas

  • Ability to initiate action with a drive to achieve success (e.g., achievement orientation, initiating action, energy, self-confidence)

  • Able to work in a multidisciplinary team through undefined, complex situations with fast-changing demands and inputs

  • Above all else, the ability to create long lasting customer relationships by solving customer problems. 

About You:

  • Eagerness to learn new skills and develop a breadth of capabilities

  • Excellent communication, storytelling skills, interpersonal and public speaking skills (written, verbal, and visual)

  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new roles and responsibilities outside of specified role

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a self-directed culture

  • Openness to learn from diverse perspectives and collaborate in a multidisciplinary organization

  • Ability to frame problems and present results to an executive level audience

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of working in a full-service food environment capacity as a food instructor, sous chef 

  • Understanding of food pairings, restaurant menu design and food trends

  • Keen interest and operational knowledge of restaurants, hotels and country clubs

  • Ability to properly set client expectations in balance with their needs and ORDERVE's business strategies and procedures 

  • The ability to prepare and deliver written proposals and presentations with polish and accuracy 

  • Effective time management, decision making, negotiation, presentation, human relations, and organizational skills 

  • Very high capacity to manage deal flow, rapid customer turn-around and a dynamic environment 

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, CRM Applications, Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software as needed.
