Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a talented professional to join our Business Development team in supporting our Mystery Tackle Box subscription product as well as our growing ecommerce platform. You’ll be in charge of creating and developing relationships with manufacturing partners in order to deliver the best products and #happydances to our customers. Free bass (or perch, or salmon, or ice…) fishing lessons included!

What you will do:

  • Supporting the product purchasing process, including:
  • Ecommerce merchandising and product selection
  • Communicating with partners to respond to questions or concerns
  • Assisting the Director of Business Development with any strategic projects, including ecommerce and private label development
  • Developing new partner relationships
  • Drafting partner proposals and terms
  • Merchandising subscription boxes
  • Building out our knowledge database of tackle and other fishing products
  • Ensuring on-time product delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities
  • Prior experience in merchandising or purchasing a plus
  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred
  • Interest/experience in fishing strongly preferred

Location

Our HQ and engineering lab are located in Chicago's trendy West Loop neighborhood, but our culture is now remote-first. With the exception of our industrial designers, we have a fully distributed team across the United States!
