Our Cumberland cryptoasset trading team is looking for an experienced Business Development professional to focus on developing new business with counterparties on a global basis. In addition to aggressively identifying and acting on these new business opportunities, the person in this role will need to track and understand changes happening in these dynamic markets real-time. This is a unique opportunity for someone to leverage their financial markets sales experience in a very new way.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with counterparties on a global basis
  • Interact directly with counterparties to provide market insight
  • Respond to incoming counterparty leads and inquiries
  • Participate in the development of marketing and branding activities and collateral
  • Develop and refining business development strategies and processes
  • Conduct research for business development activities
  • Plan and facilitate in-person meetings with counterparties; travel as necessary
  • Work directly with traders and cryptocurrency researchers to gain market knowledge and expertise
  • Generate and present regular business summary reports to senior management

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Solid knowledge of cryptosassets and digital wallets
  • Previous sales/brokerage experience in a financial markets environment; previous experience interfacing directly with financial markets participants
  • Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • High sense of urgency
  • Ability to travel often
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
