Rewards Network is a network-based marketing services and financial technology company serving the US credit card, loyalty and restaurant industries. We're looking to accelerate the growth of partnerships by quickly closing a growing list of prospective partners in the current lanes, exploring new reward program opportunities and finding partners that can help RN bring to market innovative product ideas.


As the New Business Lead, Partnership Development at Rewards Network, you will source and execute new relationships with card networks and payment processors, card issuers, card-linked offers platforms and top consumer brands. This position will also help drive the company’s corporate development and M&A efforts.

 

The person in this role will identify new opportunities, negotiate deals and commercialize strategic partnerships on their own, and work collaboratively with a team to develop particularly complex or large strategic partnerships. One focus area will be closing deals with financial institutions and players in the merchant payment ecosystem.

 

To excel in this role, you will need to understand the end-to-end process of card-linked offers and be able to develop creative solutions with product and engineering teams as well as legal and finance. You should be able to quickly build senior level relationships, communicate new concepts with clarity, and build financial models easily.

What You'll Do With Us:

  • Build strategies to drive revenue through new partnership types and structures
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new partnerships that will drive cardholder and consumer enrollment and engagement with Rewards Network’s compelling merchant/restaurant content
  • Lead projects with core functional leaders from product, marketing, finance and partner growth teams
  • Source and evaluate the strategic fit and financial impact of Corporate Development targets

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; MBA strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience of success in business development experience in financial institutions or technology-focused environments
  • Demonstrated success in leading the negotiation and execution of a wide range of complex commercial partnerships
  • Experience in a private equity-backed company environment is a plus
  • Independent contributor with an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams both internally and externally
  • Process oriented, with a bias for action
  • Able to identify, and set effective measures to mitigate, risks
