Our Diversified Markets (DM) team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Executive, focused on our Employment Reseller suite of capabilities. While this sales position will focus on an existing portfolio of Employment Reseller Clients, much emphasis will be placed on hunting and prospecting for new business. This hunter sales position is accountable for achieving annual new business and revenue goals through new and existing customer relationship development, opportunity prioritization, consultative sales, and superior negotiation and closing skills, generating growth to customers and prospects. This key role will be responsible for prospecting and selling our Employment screening and analytical solutions to top segment of our Employment Resellers and customers. This role emphasizes penetration of “greenfield” clients, cross sell opportunities within existing TransUnion customers, and growth through delivery of strategic initiative solutions.
What You'll BringBachelor’s degree in from an accredited college or university of the equivalent in experience
Minimum of 5+ years selling credit and non-credit based data and insights solutions in a complex sales environment, experience in customer relationship management and sales experience within Employment background Screening is highly preferred
Demonstrated track record of consistent quota/goal attainment
A general understanding of the regulatory requirements for using credit data and responsibilities of Resellers in accordance with FCRA guidelines
Proven client engagement skills including prospecting, relationship-building, deal making, negotiating and closing business, to all levels of the buying organization including C-level executives
Ability /willingness to travel domestically
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Articulate, persuasive and engaging communication style. Ability to be extremely persistent in a pleasant fashion
Detail oriented; dedicated to customer focused quality
We’d Love to See:
Analytic experience and demonstrated strong acumen in applying analytics to solve client business issues and challenges
Demonstrated presentation skills
Knowledge of fraud, ID Management, Criminal and MVR data used in the Employment background screening industry
Demonstrated ability to lead external client planning process to uncover critical business needs requiring appropriate solution implementation to solve for the issue
Familiarity with API integrations
Impact You'll Make
In the first 90 days, you’ll focus on acquiring deep understanding of TransUnion, the solutions, the clients and industry as a whole.
Beyond 90 days, you’ll begin to be fully engaged with clients assessing, leading and facilitating all business development associates and subject matter experts to identify, sell, close and manage existing projects in a collaborative manner.
You will be responsible for growing and protecting revenue in our current portfolio of business solutions deployed within the specific territory of Employment background Screening Reseller Accounts as well as building out a pipeline for additional revenue opportunities with these existing clients and prospecting for new business.
