Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative, Business Accounts is responsible for developing & growing partnerships with both content creators and businesses while contributing to the success of RedShelf For Business sales.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Generating new partnerships via in-person visits and remote correspondence with the goal of developing partnerships and widening RedShelf's digital distribution of learning materials
  • Optimizing existing partnerships in your territory with the goal of providing a focused and personalized experience, while maximizing sales of RedShelf products and exceeding sales targets
  • Facilitating product understanding and engagement through consistent contact and updates on new products and offers
  • Effectively gathering market feedback and industry intelligence, while reporting your experiences, challenges, and progress to the organization

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration on Excel skills and a CRM software
  • Strong understanding of API solutions and SaaS market
  • Ability to build & manage a large book of business
  • Ability to succeed independently and as part of a team
  • Available for travel to customer visits and industry trade shows and events
  • 2-3 years of experience in a sales role

 

Other Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge and appreciation of the corporate learning and professional development landscape, learning materials, digital publishing and SaaS experience
  • Background and/or experience in educational technology, and/or publishing
  • Comfort and/or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Ideal candidate is self-sufficient and highly motivated, self-directed and possess high energy and a passion for RedShelf
  • Comfortable operating in a new sales vertical & untapped market
