Background to CancerIQ

CancerIQ is a venture-backed digital health company that uses predictive analytics to help doctors understand their patient's risk of getting cancer and dying from cancer. By making it faster and cheaper for providers to order cancer genetic testing and interpret results, we improve patient access to life-saving services that can preempt or prevent this devastating disease. We market our solutions nationwide to cancer centers, breast centers and genetics practices, and have grown 30x since emerging from private beta in Spring 2016.

The Role

Responsible for selling CancerIQ products and services directly to the healthcare industry, specifically staff in cancer centers, breast centers, and genetics practices. The sales development representative is a member of the inside sales team that solely focuses on outbound prospecting and moving leads through the pipeline. You will be given lead lists by marketing and then email and dial prospects in order to qualify which leads more senior members of the CancerIQ sales team should spend their time with.

In addition to your inbound sales responsibilities, you will also work with CancerIQ's account executives, who will serve as mentors. You are responsible for helping them grow the CancerIQ account base while learning the skills to eventually be a successful account executive on your own. To maximize your personal earnings, you will need to be a highly motivated, career-oriented individual with a competitive drive and desire to work in technology or healthcare sales.

Lead Generation:

  • Identifying qualified leads by doing research on companies in the cancer center, breast centers, women’s health, and genetic counseling program segments

Email Prospecting and Lead Nurturing:

  • Using CancerIQ inside sales email templates to nurture leads and convince them to book a meeting with CancerIQ over time
  • Understanding the key objections to booking a demo, and sending the right type of follow-up email or relevant content at the right time

Early-Stage Deal Follow-up:

  • Supporting account executives in preparing for initial prospect demos
  • Preparing to follow-up after the new prospect demo, and getting the account to the next stage of the buyer's journey
