What does a work environment look like at Vouch?
Vouch is a Virtual First Workplace with office locations in SF, Chicago, and NYC . This role has remote work flexibility, as long as you can work our Vouch core collaboration hours (8:30 am-2:30 pm Pacific Time.)
This position is not eligible for employment in the following locations: NY Metro, California, and Washington.
Role Responsibilities:
As a member of the Business Development team, you will be responsible for bringing new customers to Vouch through proactive outreach, sharing the value of our products, and providing a great client experience. This position will involve reaching out to prospective customers via email outreach, as well as cultivating relationships via targeted community engagement events.
As one of the first Vouch team members with whom our clients engage, you will be responsible for being the “face of Vouch” in a variety of situations.
Job Duties:
- Review prospecting lists and identify “good fits” for our client base that meet our underwriting guidelines
- Develop well-thought-out and personalized email communications to prospective clients
- Respond to inbound client queries in a timely fashion
- Work closely with our insurance advisors and industry experts to set up and prepare for meeting with clients
- Cultivate relationships through email and startup community events (~2x a quarter)
- Consistently meet quarterly new business and team targets
- Leave a positive first impression and establish trusted relationships with our clients
About you:
- 1+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or service-oriented roles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, dependable, positive, and action-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
- Able to deal well with ambiguity and maintain composure in complex situations
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
Nice to have:
- Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high growth environments
- A background in insurance or other regulated categories

Salary Range:
The pay range for this role is: $50,000 to $70,000 per year, including on target variable pay.
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits and other perks. We also include stock options in all compensation packages and believe all Vouch employees should have the opportunity to become owners in the company.
Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skill set, location, and business need. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
