The Role:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an ENTRY LEVEL sales function that will report to the Director of Business Development and be responsible for contributing to the growth of PreScouter’s Natural Resources, Energy and Transportation team. The team has a solid foundation from which to work from, which will allow you to hit the ground running!

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivating relationships and closing business with new clients
  • Responding to inbound prospect inquiries
  • Conducting screen-share presentations with prospects
  • Assisting with the full client life cycle, from initial contact, follow up, proposals, contracting through re-engagement including but not limited to:
  • Strategic outreach to targeted clients both new and existing
  • Managing prospect & client lists and organizing campaigns
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed information in SalesForce CRM
  • Proposal or example creation
  • Working in tandem with the Service Delivery team to ensure positive client outcomes
  • Developing new revenue streams and campaign ideas

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4 year university
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skill set
  • Coachable: able to take direction with a learner mentality
  • Able to handle objections and think on your feet
  • Motivated and receptive to sales training; seeking growth and constant self-improvement
  • Ability to work in teams and independently
  • Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Google, Salesforce)
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills

Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years previous B2B sales experience with measurable success
  • Interest or experience in Oil and Gas, Mining, Energy (traditional and renewable) Automotive and OEM’s or related fields.
