As a Business Development Representative, we’re looking for energy, passion, and a thirst for learning about the GovTech space. The prospects and clients you will work with, and the skills you will develop will serve you for the rest of your career. You will be responsible for generating qualified sales leads and building a business pipeline by calling from a pre-defined prospect list. This is an important position within the organization, and success at this job may open career opportunities within CityBase or within our sister companies.

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline Development
    • Qualify and convert leads from marketing campaigns.
    • Develop viable leads through prospect qualification and analysis.
    • Manage and track leads in Salesforce system.
    • Collect and record important prospect information.
    • Research target entities/accounts to identify potential contacts.
    • Understand the prospects business needs and issues.
    • Understand and communicate the CityBase competitive advantages.
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly call volume and qualified goals.
  • Represent the Culture and the Brand of CityBase
    • Have an eagerness for learning and a willingness to constantly improve your own performance.
    • Be a thought leader and a teacher to your prospects.
    • Assist in growing the revenue and profitability of the company.
    • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge and insight related to general trends, methodologies, emerging technologies and competitors.

Requirements & Preferred Skills:

  • Previous Inside Sales, lead generation or qualified appointment setting experience.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Comfort and fluency with technology and technical concepts, with SaaS (Software as a Service) experience preferred.
  • Comfort and strong ability to influence decision-makers at Director and above levels.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with CRM software like HubSpot, Salesforce or similar tools.
  • Ability to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working with cites, states, counties or utilities a plus!
