Department OverviewOur organization is focused on business to business customers including state and local entities, federal government agencies, authorized channel partners and resellers. Lead Development Specialists takes ownership of their territory to develop a close working relationship with the corresponding sales representative. Lead Development Specialists make strategic outbound market research calls - not sales calls - to public safety agencies and private organizations in our target market to gather information, update our database, and pass potential leads to the sales rep. Lead Development Specialists will interface directly with sales and marketing.
Motorola Solutions Government & Public Safety Business product portfolio focuses on Motorola’s professional two - way radios, parts and accessories for the two - way radios. Lead Development Specialists will represent Motorola Solutions to our customers. We are responsible to conduct business dealings with prospects in a way that creates a superior customer/prospect experience that will set the stage for future sales with Motorola Solutions.
Our training program is best in class, and designed to educate new specialists on the processes and procedures prior to conducting market research and outbound calls. The training program is led by an experienced trainer that focuses on developing outbound call campaigns and your professional business behaviors. Our organization has a strong focus on employee and career development. This is an excellent position to gain base Motorola business knowledge and work toward your next step within the company. Our goal is to develop your knowledge and professional behaviors so that you can contribute to the company throughout your career. While movement is encouraged, this position has a Twelve month commitment.
Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
All incumbents be proactive in lead generation and qualifying new business opportunities
Contact prospective customers in an assigned territory and gather profile information
Keep complete and accurate CRM database records on prospective accounts and contacts
Develop multiple contacts within each prospective customer account
Work with corresponding Sales Reps to determine contact strategy for assigned territory
Contact and qualify potential sales leads from a variety of other marketing campaigns, including trade shows, advertising and website
Meet established goals and sales campaign deadlines
Arrange for literature and other information to be sent to prospective customers
Build and manage lead development pipeline
Qualify all sales leads based upon lead qualification criteria definitions
Tactfully and courteously interface with customers in order to build strong business relationships
Proactively utilize strong problem solving skills in order to deliver customer focused solutions
Proactively continue to understand Motorola’s products and solutions, competitive products and market knowledge via website, training, and other marketing information.
Demonstrate active listening and consultative communication skills through daily customer interaction
Exercise multi-tasking skills when managing multiple systems and applications during customer interaction
Utilize internal business tools and applications to effectively qualify and resolve the customer's needs.
Utilize a team player mentality to step in when called upon
Convey strong understating of Motorola customer satisfaction and business goals.

Specific Knowledge/Skills:
2+ years of customer service/sales experience preferred
Strong observation and researching skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Effective time management skills is required
Proficient computer skills with emphasis on windows based applications and google suite
