Your role in helping us shape the future:
Intelsat Inflight is taking airlines to new places with our inflight internet experience. Our worldwide inflight Wi-Fi services has made internet and video entertainment a regular part of flying.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for acquisition of Airborne materials, processing indirect orders for services, and maintaining vendor relationships with vendor inside sales teams. Your main mission is to help us process the incoming demand and then coordinate the movement of those materials, aiming to deliver the right parts, to the right place, at the right time to satisfy our customers.

Are you up to the challenge?

• Process Purchase Orders from the various sources of Demand (MRP Output, Unplanned Expedites, Vendor Returns, etc.)
• Enter Purchase Order Acknowledgements
• Monitor Purchase Orders to ensure delivery dates are met
• Expedite and escalate orders, as needed
• Drive Purchase Orders to invoice completion
• Ensure identified vendor return/rejected units are sent for repair or rework to meet demand

You should definitely have:

• A love for Aviation and Aerospace
• 1-5 years' work experience in an ERP / MRP driven environment
• Ability to listen, discern, and resolve issues with a sense of urgency
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy, detail, and quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• High motivational ability to function independently
• Strong organizational skills

It would be nice if you had:

• 3-5 years' work experience in a Supply Chain
• Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
