Department OverviewThe Distribution Sales team at Motorola Solutions is primarily focused on driving sales of Business, Consumer, Commercial and Paging solutions through a network of Distribution partners. The majority of sales are ultimately sold via resellers focused on verticals such as Retail, Construction, Facilities Maintenance and more.
Job Description
The Distribution Sales team has an immediate need for a Channel Account Manager who will focus on driving our full suite of Distribution Channel products for the West Coast.
Responsibilities of the Channel Account Manager:
Partner closely and grow revenue with assigned Distributors across all product lines
Grow pipeline in territory with special focus on Retail and Restaurant verticals, plus seek new vertical opportunities to expand into as well
Drive key strategies on behalf of the team related to our Consumer Radio Go-To-Market
Consistently seek new ways to leverage MSI strengths and products along with partner strengths to drive market growth and new ways for customers to access MSI products and services
Qualifications:
5+ years of Channel Sales experience
Large Account Management Experience
Experience working heavily with a large retailer preferred
Ability to travel up to 50%
Remote-Western US location preferred (CA, TX, and OR are ideal)
Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions
Ability to accurately forecast revenue on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships
Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy is required
Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
Functional understanding of Microsoft and Google Apps, especially Excel/Sheets
Exceptional presentation skills required
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and demonstrate new software at a high level
Basic Requirements
5+ years of Channel Sales experience
