What you will do

The Retail team uses SPINS industry leading Natural, Organic, and Specialty Products Market Research information to uncover and deliver insights through data and serve as thought leaders in the industry. This high visibility component of our business builds and influences the development of customer solutions for one of the fastest growing industries in today’s market.

The Client Support Analyst has significant responsibility to penetrate and fully assimilate within the client organization and collaborate to ensure partnership goals are met. As a recognized Subject Matter Expert, the Manager develops strategic and tactical business initiatives for a leading retailer in the Natural, Organic and/or Specialty Products Industry.

The incumbent is an external client-facing leader with an inherent problem-solving skill, and a strong analytical and technical aptitude. This individual contributor leverages SPINS industry leading market research to uncover and deliver actionable insights that drive strategic business planning and initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate strong relationships within all levels of an organization to ensure long-term partnerships remain solid.
  • Be recognized as the client’s thought leader of Natural Channel insights and trends.
  • Become the main point of contact for the client relationship with the ability to report back learnings to SPINS to enhance SPINS products and services.
  • Ability to deliver an annual account specific strategic plan through discovery of client goals and objectives
  • Keen ability to seek to understand business issues and deliver thoughtful data driven insights to support business goals and objectives.
  • Deliver presentations to small and medium sized groups via phone or in person providing solutions and recommendations using interpretation and application of the data.
  • Efficiently train the client and manage on-going enhancements to SPINS technology products.
  • Handle multiple assignments, conflicting demands or priorities
  • Negotiate, monitor and organize activities of others to achieve objective without direct authority

What you bring

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with a Natural and/or Specialty Products retailer, distributor, broker or manufacturer
  • 2+ years of account management, relationship management and/or partner development
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing Syndicated Data and producing actionable insights
  • 2+ years of experience in a retailer environment, Natural or Specialty Gourmet (preferred)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)

Relationships Management

  • Ability to apply strategic courses of action needed to achieve business objectives
  • Provides thought leadership to client executive team
  • Demonstrate SPINS partnership value through strategic business solutions
  • Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods or Grocery industry
  • Ability to conduct business reviews and provide product insights that drive results
  • Knowledge of Natural / Specialty products
  • Proficient presentation development and delivery skills
  • Strong Project Management skills
