Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.
Job Description
The Motorola Solutions Consulting Services Organization develops the Software Enterprise and Integration deployment service offers for new product introduction and delivers services that enhance a customer's user experience through consulting and managed services. With our teams’ vast Public Safety Experience, our experts bring real world knowledge to our software solutions. Our goal is to assist customers in user adoption and enable the most efficient use of their software investment. Helping the customer understand the power of the end to end workflow, through structured service offers or customer specific consultation, our consultants empower customer decision making based on their desired operational outcomes.
The Consultant provides real-world and industry best practice experience that supports the successful adoption of Motorola Solutions software products. This position brings expertise in Public Safety processes and solutions to individual customer consulting engagements. These engagements are tailored to meet specific needs and help the customer build a long term strategy that maximizes their investment. This position develops trusting relationships, and drives further consulting and sale opportunities that fulfill desired business outcomes. The Consultant brings experience coupled with specific product knowledge to broaden adoption agency-wide; resulting in an increased value of the purchased solution.
Qualifications:
Process and solution expert with Public Safety experience
Expertise in implementing strategic goals and driving user adoption
Knowledge of Motorola products and solutions
Ability to understand and educate others on end-to-end workflows and demonstrate the value of software within the workflow
Business analysis experience
Ability to work with customer to streamline processes related to data collection and data retrieval
Knowledge of and experience in strategic, tactical, intelligence and operations of Public Safety Agencies to include: Police, Emergency Services, Dispatch, Crime Analysis, Records, Jail and overall business operations
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Understanding of Public Safety policies and procedures
Technical understanding on how software products work end-to-end
Good time management and organization
Bachelors degree - desired
The ability to work closely with others as part of a team
Proven leadership skills
Proven experience in managing requirements
This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
Basic Requirements
At least 5+ years of professional experience in a high tech environment
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer.
