As a Digital CX Solution Architect, you are a key member of Motorola Solutions’ Digital Transformation IT team building next generation Customer Experiences (CX) on our global Digital platforms. You will help define best-fit technical architectural solutions, design applications and work with development teams to build per design and provide regular support/guidance to project teams on overall technical solutions, issue resolution and execution. The Digital CX Solution Architect integrates business and technology with the disciplines of customer experience and design, cloud-native architectures, application integration architectures, data science (including analytics, segmentation, targeting & next-best action), holistic-integrative architecture design (business, application, information, technology and security), and intelligent insights. You will work with a talented IT team to understand required business outcomes, implement requirements and provide technical advisory and solution delivery for the deployment of a corporate-wide Digital Platform, including Content Management, eCommerce and Self-Service portals.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
Direct aspects of solution implementations based on IT and business needs related to our Customer Experience in areas of Content Management, eCommerce and custom front end applications.
Act as a Technical Product Manager for our Digital Transformation program and help create digital technology roadmaps necessary using audience segments to drive customer personalization and targeting.
Partner with architects to provide solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with evolving business requirements and architectural vision.
Lead and provide technical solutions that can be configured in our digital platforms and provide outside-in thinking to propose alternative solutions where a fit in the existing solution is not optimal.
Partner with Business and IT leaders to drive business requirements into strategic designs
Oversee systems design and architecture through leadership participation in architecture reviews.
Lead and drive configuration of all design, development, and deployment associated with assigned topics, including all technical configuration settings, administration settings, and provide overall platform domain expertise.
Drive standards for development and design techniques for infrastructure and/or enterprise architecture.
Assist with solution project estimation, scope definition, resource allocation and formulating project timeline.
Participate in solution and design discussions with team members and build consensus around how to deliver the solutions iteratively, and minimize the amount of work required to deliver the intended value.
Help team plan and execute each sprint and assist with impediments to the sprint goal, and in identifying ways to unblock tasks as needed.
Support product owners from a technical perspective to create well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria that meet the team’s definition of sprint-ready, and are good enough to begin work.
Experience in a scaled Agile environment, preferably SAFe and DevOps experience desired
Experience with CI/CD best practices and DevOps to production using Jenkins, git, bitbucket or similar tool sets desired
Experience with designing and implementing large scale solutions. Works with key stakeholders to design complex solutions and lead from inception to production
Prior experience working in any of the following areas: enterprise SaaS, eCommerce, product analytics, digital marketing, A/B testing, business intelligence, customer data platforms, data warehouses/pipelines.
Practitioner of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) and familiarity with change management tools (preferably Jira).
Excellent verbal and written social, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders with an array of experience levels and technical competencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or MIS from an accredited university
5+ years experience as a Tech Lead, Solution Architect or developer on large projects, implementing cross-channel, complex digital marketing solutions across Marketing, eCommerce and Self Service platforms
