The Impact You Will Make
- Deeply curious, a great listener, demonstrated ability to think strategically and can distill complicated challenges into simple, clear thoughts and paths forward
- Cultivate partnerships and drive value through new, innovative initiatives that increase the retention of existing diners and acquisition of new diners
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, operations teams, and legal to gather internal feedback and bring new partnership ideas to the table
- Competent in Excel and can understand and debate financial models that prove the economics of potential programs
- Develop and implement strategies that drive increased loyalty and new diner growth
- Evaluate potential partnerships by analyzing the strategies, growth potential, and financial impact as well as the formulation of new business verticals and their development
What You Bring to the Table
- 7+ years experience in business development, strategic partnerships, investment banking, management consulting or similar
- Work collaboratively with senior leadership to gain alignment on strategies for growth
- Highly proficient in contracts and negotiation
- Represent Grubhub at a high level with executives internally and externally with partners
- Develop strategies, tactics, and implementation
- Track record for identifying new opportunities and taking them from idea, through organizational buy-in, to implementation/launch
- Comfortable and passionate about complex deals that don’t have a roadmap for success
- Works well without direct supervision (or without direction)
- Become an expert on all of Grubhub’s various capabilities
- Lead and manage partnerships that deliver results
- Be a strong relationship builder
- Demonstrated level of grittiness
- High energy and stamina
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
