Sphera is looking for innovative and self-motivated Deal Desk Leader to join our growing Sales Operations team. As the Deal Desk Leader, you will own commercial execution and strategically partner with our Sales organization, offering guidance to drive deal execution, while complying with company policies and procedures.
Successful candidates have a passion for navigating complex software and services deal structures, building scalable processes and experience working cross-functionally with Order Management, Finance, Legal, and Executive teams to gain approvals.
This role will report to the VP, Strategic Sales Operations and will be key to scaling the sales organization. Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement approval processes for commercial pricing including discounting rules
and nonstandard deal terms with the relevant approver responsibility matrix.Create and enable commercial best practices around deal structures that adhere to
company policies around Revenue Recognition, Discount and Gross Margin targets.Facilitate deal structuring by developing custom terms and obtaining all subsequent
approvals.Maintain scalable operations and feedback loop to deal stakeholders to increase contract
velocity and efficiency.Develop an in-depth understanding of subscription model, service/product offerings and
recommended contract structures guidance to increase profitability and meet
strategic KPIs.Analyze historical won deals for trends and insights to recommend best practices to
cross-functional leadership.Support sales leaders in structuring and execution of the company’s most complex
opportunities and be the key cross-functional contact for required escalations.Requirements:
3 years of experience with Enterprise Software Pricing and Deal Execution with 5
Years of overall Sales Operations experienceDeep knowledge of enterprise software pricing trends, ideally with an understanding
of both SaaS and On-Premise softwareAbility to develop pricing models and reporting in Microsoft Excel
Executive-level presentation skills
Salesforce proficiency with a focus on reporting and dashboards
High attention to detail
Bachelor’s Degree
