Who are we?

Moonrise is a social impact startup fully funded and supported by a Fortune 300 company. We are seeking a rock star director of sales to help grow the demand side of our marketplace. Moonrise is a worker-focused, innovative HR Tech Staffing platform that uses AI and Machine Learning to rapidly recruit workers for short-term contingent labor positions. Who are you?

You will help define our sales strategy with the goal of growing our top-line revenue. You will be responsible for creating a scalable and repeatable sales process while building lasting relationships with employers. We are looking for someone to help define our sales strategy and put us on a path towards product monetization. You have significant experience closing enterprise deals with long sales cycles (4+ months). You are comfortable working in a start-up environment where the sales playbook hasn’t been fully defined yet. Success in this role is measured by tenacity and exceeding monthly sales goals. With every sale that you make, you will be giving individuals who need it most access to employment opportunities to help fulfill their dream of financial stability.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive all aspects of the sales process including creation of customized sales presentations, creation of prospect list by vertical, developing cold and warm lead communications, evolving the sales pitch and perfecting the close
  • Work with senior management to help define the sales strategy
  • Own and manage a pipeline of clients from SMB’s to enterprise size businesses
  • Consult, educate, strategize and successfully close clients through high volume sales initiatives
  • Become an expert on the Moonrise staffing solution, adjust sales recommendations quickly to suit client needs and be able to creatively handle objections
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships and lead high-impact client meetings
  • Produce weekly forecasts based on pipeline trends and deal assessments
  • Own CRM, sales operations and metrics to manage the full sales funnel
  • Evolve and manage KPIs and achieve revenue targets

Qualifications and special skills required:

  • 7+ years of inside and outside sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Highly motivated and works well in a changing environment
  • Must have cold calling experience and enjoy the hunt
  • Understanding of contingent labor market and/or HR Tech industry huge plus
  • Tech savvy with digital experience
  • Impactful team player, passionate, innovative, creative
  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent writing, organizational and oral communication skills
  • Thrive in a fast paced, scrappy, start up environment
