Farmer’s Fridge was founded in Chicago in 2013 with the mission of making wholesome, delicious food easily accessible, so people can live a little happier and healthier. Our network of 300+ software-enabled smart Fridges vend handcrafted salads, grain bowls, sandwiches, and more. We are striving to change the food system from the ground up – one Fridge at a time.

As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will drive the growth of Farmer’s Fridge by scaling up critical regional and national partnerships. You will develop the strategy by utilizing internal and external data and knowledge of the market, and with your team execute the plan to scale & deepen relationships existing partners in channels like retail, convenience, mass transit, and more. You will test and learn B2B sales & marketing campaigns and develop our playbooks by leading a small but mighty team and working cross functionally to get your work done. We are looking for a strategic campaigner who loves navigating large organizations, and gets up every day to make fresh healthy food as convenient as a candy bar - because we will be selling salads right next to them in c-stores and train stations!

In a typical week, the Director of Strategic Accounts might...

  • Run a ‘war room’ session to navigate a partnership
  • Prep and lead a review with a critical partner, including development of the approach, business case & supporting materials
  • Adjust course/tactics to meet sales goals based on internal data and marketplace trends
  • Represent Farmer’s Fridge at an industry or trade event
  • Lead a cross functional meeting with operations, marketing, finance and sales to ensure we are executing against plan, and troubleshoot when needed
  • Successfully balance multiple competing priorities within a rapid growth environment to ensure a best in class experience for our partners

  • Have led or developed critical partnerships in previous roles
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable goals
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to develop business case, and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and challenges
  • The ability to operate in ambiguous situations and be flexible as the organization changes and grows - we are in a new place every quarter!
  • Leadership. You are a natural, and enjoy leading a direct team, a cross-functional team, and an external team of partners. 
  • Strategic. You love campaigning for causes you are passionate about and can build a common vision and work various levels of an organization to get results. 
  • A learning mindset. You can share examples of how you have driven results and where you have fallen short, and when you have needed to pivot or change course. 
  • Organized. Related to running a campaign, you like to manage projects and teams, and enjoy being a counter balance to a fast moving sales team. 
  • You love data. And you can make a compelling story out of it. Yes it’s a cliché and a lot of companies say this now, but we uniquely have a lot of it on our customers and it sets us apart.
