We’re sitting in a pivotal time in the BenchPrep history. The number of learners on our cloud-based learning platform has reached almost 7 million in 2021.

COVID-19:
Speaking of our people, in March 2020, we put safety first and quickly moved our people to working remotely. We’ve learned that our employees are really productive working at home and still (mostly) work remotely. Our first core value is “People First” and the pandemic has reinforced how true this value reigns to us. What is the future of BenchPrep’s plans for working in-office or remote?  We haven’t finalized that, but what we do know is that collaboration and connection are our top priorities. What you'll do in the role:

We are looking for a driven, self-starter sales executive to join our growing team.  The Enterprise Account Executive  (EAE) is responsible for developing and closing new business.  In order to be successful, the EAE must learn the core BenchPrep product; plus have a clear understanding of the product, value proposition, and offerings. This includes understanding the BenchPrep internal teams and how they support the customer.  EAEs additionally are expected to communicate and present to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and effective manner, to gain buy-in with prospects and build relationships with internal stakeholders or coworkers. 

Some challenges you’ll tackle:

  • Develop and execute an account based business development approach to the enterprise association, certification and test prep market 
  • In coordination with internal sales enablement resources such as Marketing and BDRs, build and take ownership of a long term account penetration plan with self determined iterative milestones
  • Multi-thread enterprise institutions to build numerous relationships with key influencers, stakeholders and buyers 
  • Effectively communicate the BenchPrep value proposition (primarily virtually) to drive and convert leads to opportunities 
  • Align the multi-layered prospect pain points to BenchPrep solutions through the full sales engagement life-cycle, from Discovery and Demonstration to Proposal and Negotiation.  
  • Coordinate with the Solution Engineering team to deliver powerful product demonstrations while mitigating technical and integration hurdles 

 Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to keep an active pipeline and lead funnel
  • Participate in qualitative research to understand the goals of the customers and customers of their customers; Work in coordination with Marketing on updating buyer personas 
  • Strategically map enterprise organizations, understanding their business, goals and customer base 
  • Master and demonstrate product knowledge; ongoing curiosity about the product and roadmap
  • Use our CRM system and Sales Enablement tech stack to accurately maintain prospect and customer data, manage activities, lead funnel, and current pipeline

**Skills & Experiences We Value:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.  We tend to seek  around 6+ years of direct sales experience in an Account Executive or equivalent quota carrying role.
  • Proven experience and capability of carrying a quota and reaching (or exceeding) sales quotas of over $750K annually.
  • Experience working with Enterprise level sales ($100K and above) in matrixed organizations where decision making is distributed and Proven experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles and selling into Associations or similar organization types where Board approval is part of the buying process.
  • Experience in professional training/education/test prep industry

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and negotiate enterprise level proposals.
  • Experience in using CRM (Salesforce) and similar sales enablement tools such as: SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Gong.
  • Can effectively conduct presentations over the phone and through the web.
  • Motivated by challenges, and excited to grow our customer base through customer outreach, education, and solution-based selling techniques.
  • When it’s safe and (if) travel resumes, have the ability to travel 25% of the time.
  • Experience in a startup environment
