About this Job

The ideal candidate will be able to help manage the Organization goals and enabling the
local and regional sales teams to execute pricing strategies with Customers. This includes working with our sales teams to maximize revenues in deal structuring, recommending varying selling models, engaging with our price setting team to evaluate acceptable price points and investment accounts, collaborating with Product Leadership to understand varying product options to meet customer needs and understanding the entire customer ecosystem to ensure its value and increase share in the market.

You will collaborate very closely with the Sales Team, Sales Operations, Price Setting, Legal, Finance, and Product Leadership as well as other internal stakeholders to ensure that our Sales Teams have the support needed to execute Organizational goals.

Responsibilities

European Deal Desk

  • Analyze incoming deals along review criteria (both quantitative and qualitative)
  • Challenge status quo to make recommendations that drive price increases and discount reductions
  • Recommend pricing structures based on the Customer’s business drivers and ability to sell value
  • Influence discount improvements through competitive intelligence and developing a subject matter expertise in the Region
  • Develop a Pricing Playbook to help local Sales teams execute the pricing strategy
  • Provide detailed reporting to Regional Directors and collaborate closely with Sales Management to drive regionally focused pricing strategies
  • Engage closely with Contracting and Legal to support non-standard commercial terms and conditions
  • Build consensus with other deal desk members and make customized pricing recommendations
  • Manage communications with sales reps and deliver approval/rejection context
  • Manage and develop deal desk analyst

About You

A strategic thinker with proven leadership skills and the ability to positively influence others to promote change across all the levels of the organization. You are great at communication and work well in a team environment. You are responsible, flexible, accountable and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, adapt and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Senior commercial/deal desk/Procurement leadership experience with in-depth experience structuring pricing for mid-to-large contracts
  • Familiarity with working with Sales teams in a deal desk or commercial-selling function
  • Expertise with varying software selling models (i.e. term licenses, perpetual, SaaS, subscription, utility consumption)
  • Experience meeting with Customers
  • Strong credibility with regional commercial leaders and development of a deep understanding of unique regional pricing nuances (e.g., categories)
  • Ability to synthesize deal and account information and make actionable pricing recommendations
  • Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus
  • Advanced Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
