The Event Sales & Planning Manager is an experienced, hospitality professional responsible for selling, planning and executing successful events in alignment with the Park Hyatt Brand (also known as Catering/Conference Services Manager).
Salary Range:
Salary range for this position is $50,700-$70,900 actual pay will commensurate with experience
Responsibilities include:
Act as the main point of contact/on-site contact for all group business, including administering the Sales agreement, detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs, managing room blocks and pick up, billing instructions and final review
Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with Sales, property departments and customer to ensure consistent, high level service throughout the pre-event, event and post-event phases of property events
Handles all corporate event sales opportunities including lead generation, contracting, planning and production serving as the main on-site point of contact
Understanding the overall corporate event market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
Gains understanding of the location's primary target corporate event customer and their service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their vision and bringing it to life at Park Hyatt
Meeting and exceeding all individual & team goals tied to the overall objectives of the hotel
Upsells each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential
Conducts day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships with existing and new accounts that enable achievement of sales objectives
Provides hotel tours both in person and virtually using the latest technology and creative visuals
Leads internal communication with all necessary departments and colleagues for upcoming events to ensure flawless execution
Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities
Acts as a Park Hyatt brand ambassador in all connections and communication
Any other tasks as assigned by Director of Sales, Marketing & Events

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
  • Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
  • Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
  • Prefer candidate has completed PSS
