Overview

This position is responsible for supporting all recruitment events for the TRG sales group. This employee supports over 20+ events and $1M of revenue throughout the Tribune Publishing footprint. They are responsible for providing exemplary customer service; support customer needs by sponsorship, print and/or digital orders. Provides both internal sales staff + potential new customers with product information.

Responsibilities

  • Developing internal and external communication materials for all recruitment job fairs plus Top Workplace events
  • Communicate with market Sales + Marketing staff to ensure sponsorship and sales targets are met
  • Identify new business targets to ensure revenue goals are met
  • Maintain revenue reporting and communicate any shortfalls to the TRG leadership
  • Work with the Director of Sales to develop bundled buys to maximize revenue potential; may recommend alternative to meet revenue targets
  • Research and maintain a database of potential customers with the goal of increasing product sales (pre and post event)
  • Obtains and records information about potential customers, and applies this knowledge to identify needs/make recommendations to induce sales, assist in resolving issues with targeted customers, etc.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of experience
  • Working knowledge and experience utilizing a CRM, Microsoft Office products and AdIt in order to manage day-to-day activities
  • Demonstrated success in meeting assigned revenue and assigned sales metrics
  • Industry and market knowledge a plus, print, digital, event sales, mobile platform knowledge and skills preferred
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Customer Service experience with strong professional phone skills required
  • Strong listening, communication and selling skills
  • Effective relationship building skills
  • Strong problem solving, time management and financial business acumen skills
  • Motivated, persuasive and consultative with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Travel may be necessary
