Purpose of Position: As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling products and services over the phone, by email, web-based presentations, and face-to-face meetings if needed to existing and potential new customers. You will be managing an existing customer base proactively reaching out to ensure customer satisfaction/retention while prospecting for new business.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Identify new sales opportunities by understanding customer needs
- Educating customers about our business products and services
- Build strong customer relationships
- Provide customers with monthly order activity reporting identifying areas of improvement
- Respond swiftly to customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to internal team members
- Assist other team members with product or service training
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or equivalent experience required
- Minimum three years as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service role
- Ability to understand customer needs and the negotiation process
- Excellent communication, time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills along with maintaining a positive attitude amid challenges
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Be self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
