Inside Sales - Account Manager (FTD Market Place) Floral Industry

How would you like to work for a close-knit sales team selling hard goods (such as ribbons, glassware, vases, containers, baskets, plush animals, calendars, coolers, etc.) to members of the FTD network of floral shops? Your warm and engaging personality will be used to make warm calls to our Members within the assigned Mid-West territory to sell them holiday and everyday branded product, non-branded wholesale product, calendars and much more. If you have experience in a proactive, goal-oriented and customer focused, consultative, Inside Sales role, you will want to consider this exciting career opportunity at FTD!

The ideal Inside Sales Representative (Account Manager) for FTD can be a consultative seller and knows how to coordinate resources to solve FTD Member requirements and close business. You listen and engage our Members and can become a product, and market expert as well as to partner with our Field Business Consultants. You are passionate about sales and the FTD Member experience. A quick study with the ability to learn, think on your feet and problem-solve.

What We Expect From You:

  • You work with the Inside Sales Team (B2B) to uncover new opportunities within assigned Mid-West territory
  • You make outbound calls to FTD Members (70 calls per day), at least 4 hours of phone time
  • You work warm leads (no cold calling)
  • Calling on our valued FTD Members (retail florists) to sell branded and generic hard goods
  • You drive sales by developing strong relationships, providing product consultation, exceptional customer service and improve transactions profitability for FTD Members
  • You contact FTD Members following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, analyze business potential, maintain and maximize revenues
  • You instill members with confidence in FTD and our full range of Marketplace products/services
  • Provide FTD Members with professional, accurate, and timely guidance
  • You grow your assigned territory to meet and exceed set sales targets

What You Will Contribute:

  • Prior Inside Sales and Territory Management experience - managing total business
  • Knowledge and ability to sell on value
  • Effectively use email marketing
  • Empathize with clients to make sure you understand their situation
  • Hunger for success, positive attitude and desire to learn and grow
  • Floral industry experience a plus but not required
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent multitasking, negotiating and communication skills
  • High volume warm calling experience into a business-to-business environment
  • Positive, persistent, self-motivated and a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Flexibility to work weekends when necessary (during peak seasons)
