About the Role

Our in-house real estate agents will work out of our headquarters in Chicago serving as the our main eyes, ears and voices for our customers. As a licensed agent you will handle all of our day to day interactions with our clients, most commonly over the phone, via email and using our own proprietary tools to communicate.

This position will be answering calls and emails generated from our website, chatting with clients about all things Real Estate related. As the first touch for the company, you will be responsible for world-class service, insights and 100% customer satisfaction.

You will be responsible for helping first time home buyers and sellers understand the process and for introducing them to our local Real Estate experts in their area.

You understand our customers needs, answer their questions, and ease their anxiety throughout the home buying/selling process.

You successfully move our customers forward in their home buying or selling journey with the help of our proprietary technology.

You are a customer service expert, extremely comfortable and friendly over the phone and via email.

A successful realtor in this role is extremely organized, efficient and able to multitask, while remaining the friendly-go-to person for our customers.

You are an expert at follow-up and you know what to do in the event that a customer is not quite ready to look at a property with an agent yet.

  • Tech-savvy: Early Adopter. You must love technology and be excited to solve age-old problems in a sometimes archaic industry with world class technology solutions. Email addicts and smartphone wizards are the best.

  • Strong social media presence is a big plus.

  • Experienced Real Estate professional. You have a history of selling houses and are an expert in your territory. You are always a customer ally. You must be a licensed Real Estate Agent to apply.

  • Professionalism. You are polished, presentable and eloquent online, over the phone and in person. Even under stress.

  • Communication skills: Always keep the Abode team and your customers in the loop. Expect frequent and always friendly communication via all of the available channels.

  • Flexibility: Depending on the position, hours may vary and could include evenings and weekends.
