About the Role:

 

UPshow is a rapidly-growing, Chicago-based technology startup seeking a skilled and energetic inside sales executive to join our sales team. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for growing UPshow’s customer pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, cold-calling, inbound lead qualification, onboarding / activating new customers and identifying growth opportunities for existing customers.

 

The ideal candidate possesses 1-3 years of inside sales experience in the technology sector.  Being a top performer and consistently meeting/exceeding quota in your current role is important. You will love this role if you’re comfortable pounding the phones each day, and you are eager to gain experience interacting with prospects and customers of all levels.

 

Responsibilities:

 

●      Create and prioritize strategic target account lists

●      Build and maintain pipeline of prospective customers

●      Report pipeline to senior management for accurate forecasting

●      Achieve performance metrics and monthly/quarterly quotas set by management

●      Make 80-100 calls each day (work the phones like a sports agent)

●      Lead cold outreach efforts (e.g. strategic calling, creative emails, etc.)

●      Build a great first impression with our prospects and customers

●      Respond to, qualify, and convert inbound leads into happy customers

●      Maintain active engagement with inbound leads through creative follow-ups

●      Provide product and pricing information to qualified leads

●      Lead product demos and nurture qualified (internal: tier 3) leads to close

●      Onboard/activate new customers and identify upsell opportunities [lets discuss]

●      Input and track key customer data in Salesforce

●      Work closely and maintain effective communication with Customer Success / Account Management team

 

Requirements:

 

●      Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent

●      1-3 years inside sales experience, preferably in the technology sector

●      High degree of confidence hunting, prospecting, and driving lead generation

●      A track record of meeting or exceeding sales/account management quotas

●      Must have a strong work ethic to fit in with our scrappy startup culture

●      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

●      Social media and internet research savvy (preferred)

●      SaaS/subscription-based service experience (preferred)

●      Experience inputting and tracking using a CRM system (plus)

UPshow's HQ is located in the River North neighborhood. It's easy to get to via the Brown line, Blue line, and Red line trains. It's situated near the Merch Mart which has tons of great quick & easy lunch options and right some many great sit down restaurants along Clark St.
