Leadership Development Sales Training Manager
Do you love to develop amazing sales teams? Because that's what we do.
Groupon’s mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we’re positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon.
We know sales is the backbone of business. That's why training and developing our sales teams and leaders is a top priority. They focus on building partnerships with Groupon merchants, and we spend our days showing them how. Plenty of companies offer sales “training,” but Groupon offers professional sales development. Our trainers teach core selling principles in our GroupOnboarding program (GOB) and then accelerate the professional training of our teams in Groupon Sales University.
In this role, you will craft, implement, run leadership development strategy and training programs to support Divisional Sales Managers (DSMs) and Regional Sales Directors (RSDs), who lead inside sales teams across the organization. Support will include the development and delivery of sales and sales management-related content through facilitation of large format classroom sessions as well as 1:1 coaching and small group environments. Tactical, strategic, and professional development programs would consist of topics such as DSM process improvement (call block execution, huddle facilitation, and 1:1s) and expansion of leadership competencies (situational leadership, emotional intelligence, and building a bench of future sales leaders). Additionally, you will oversee one direct report who is responsible for the sales mentor program and assists with leadership development content creation.
We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and passionate about helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a phenomenal place to grow your career? Let's get into the details:
You’ll spend time on the following:
Designing, delivering, and managing sales leader development strategies and training programs
