Purpose of Position: The Manager, Sales & Support will manage the directory advertising sales (National Marketing Consultants) and the membership solutions (Member Solutions) teams with the goal of meeting specific company, team and individual goals, including assigned sales targets, save percentages and general customer service objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage National Marketing Consultant and Member Solutions teams
  • Generate, maintain and analyze various sales and member data to direct NMCs to achieve assigned sales targets
  • Manage Member Solutions team to ensure they are meeting company objectives, including membership save goals and timely resolution of membership issues
  • Analyze current membership and advertising programs and promotions and evaluate new programs and promotions to create positive member experiences
  • Partner with outside sales teams to create synergies for team and group sales
  • Partner with customer service to ensure member issues are resolved timely.
  • Collaborate with Membership and Directory Operation teams to ensure the timing and accuracy of member notifications and sales and sales adjustments
  • Review monthly commission files for management review and finance payout
  • Use various tools to create reports to analyze and eliminate advertising churn
  • Communicate directly with FTD Member Florists, as necessary
  • Evaluate current processes and systems for improvement and efficiencies
  • Provide positive feedback and awareness of developmental opportunities to reps and manage through effective coaching and training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and/or account management experience
  • Strong and positive leader, being able to lead with a professional demeanor while getting positive sales results and ability to develop, coach and motivate staff
  • Strong negotiating, customer service and communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Clear problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Must be flexible, receptive to change, and have the ability to adapt quickly to changing business requirements and needs.
  • High energy and drive to go the extra mile to succeed
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office including Word and Excel.
