Mgr, Supplier Partner Mktg, Zoro Tools
In the past seven years, Zoro has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 250+ working out of a 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 2,000,000 unique products.
The Manager, Supplier Partnership Marketing reports to the Sr. Director of Direct Marketing to drive supplier partnership marketing vision, strategies and plans. With the director, will develop program guidelines and key performance indicators (KPIs). Specifically, making program recommendations, selling the program’s value, and implementing and ensuring execution of the components of the supplier marketing programs. Will partner with Category Management and preferred suppliers to understand category and supplier strategies so that the appropriate program elements are developed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers to create win-win solutions
- Create and sell marketing programs to suppliers
- Increase monetary contribution of supplier marketing programs by providing meaningful and valuable access to insights and helping to drive share for suppliers
- Own brief development and ensure successful execution of programs
- Grants final approvals on all artwork, mock ups and proofs
- Partner with analytics team and Database Marketing Manager to provide metrics for each marketing program and present to suppliers
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable strategies and plans.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing KPIs & sales data.
- Successful collaborative leadership of cross-functional team members.
- Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
- BA/BS required with MBA strongly preferred.
- Flexibility to work in a decentralized structure.
- Requires travel approximately 5-15%, as needed.
- Strategic thinker with experience creating comprehensive marketing plans.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong sense of urgency with absolute follow-through.
- Outstanding communication and problem solving skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, results oriented environment.
- Effectively write strategic briefs, creative briefs and executive summaries; concisely communicate project goals.
- Desire and ability to be a team player that appreciates a unique, entrepreneurial environment.
