BeautyNow by Groupon is seeking a beauty industry expert with significant experience with nail salons, spas, and maintenance beauty. The BeautyNow Nail & Spa Industry Specialist will be charged with scaling BeautyNow’s pioneering yield management solution among nail salons and spas that have never partnered with Groupon for their traffic and appointment needs.   The Nail & Spa Industry Specialist will be responsible for forging connections with decision makers at nail salons and spas across the nation.  BeautyNow management will seek input from the Nail & Spa Industry Specialist on partnership strategies for local businesses and multi-location chains alike.  The Nail & Spa Industry Specialist will also be called upon to develop cross-channel strategies to increase awareness and activation among industry publications and tastemakers.   This individual will be expected to maintain a prescribed high level of activity with respect to salon outreach and contracts closed.

Essential Areas of Responsibility:

• Build opportunity for BeautyNow within the nail and spa industry through proactive outreach to nail industry decision makers

• Generate buzz about BeautyNow as the easiest way to fill seats for high-quality nail salons and spas

• Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics, consumer ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers

• Contribute to Product & Design strategy for innovation pipeline targeting the nail and spa industries

• Interface with Booking Concierge staff to ensure a seamless transition of accounts and align on merchant strategy

BeautyNow Qualifications and Job Requirements:

• 1-2+ years of proven success in a sales environment or in a nail salon or full-service spa

• Must have strong relationship building background

• Demonstrate high degrees of diligence and accountability, with evidence of personal results

• A balance of coachability and confidence

• Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition to improve

• Captive learner, excited about the opportunity to develop consultative sales skills

• Action-oriented, motivated and the previous results of demonstrated success in career 
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Vietnamese, Korean, or Mandarin
   

Key Performance Indicators:

• Contracts Closed, Average Bookings/Merchant/Month, Merchant Satisfaction, Weighted Average Margin
