We are looking for a Pre- Sales Solutions Engineer to join our Chicago team to support our sustained client growth. Your primary responsibility will be to own the pre-sales technological relationship with the customer or prospect. This includes presenting product offerings and architecture in the best light to customers and prospects in the financial advice, wealth management and the RIA space, to evoke confidence in the company’s technology infrastructure, and to remove all technical objections in the sales cycle. 

Reporting into the Head of Sales, you will leverage your technical and/ or sales skills, including the ability to solicit business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and effectively demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value through developing trusted relationships. 

The range of solutions and products that the Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer will cover include the breadth of the Practifi platform built on Salesforce with an emphasis on the core users of the system including Financial Advisors, Compliance officers, Operational teams and additional support staff.  

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Understand our customers’ needs, and establish Practifi’s platform as the best solution that solves the customers’ challenges.
  • Over time, become a subject matter expert on the Practifi platform. 
  • Build and present customized demos of our platform highlighting our technology infrastructure and thereby removing all technical objections from the sales cycle.
  • Convey deep understanding of the customers’ technology as it pertains to Practifi solutions.
  • Coordinate and align team members in coordination with the relevant AE to an opportunity strategy.
  • Develop and deliver the story of the customer experience. 
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position.
  • Attain quarterly and annual sales objectives as discussed with the Head of Sales.
  • Respond effectively to RFPs and tenders. 
  • Ability to travel based on territory alignment and region.

 

About you:

  • 3+ years of relevant pre-sales or consulting experience, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of related applications, portfolio management systems, reporting solutions, financial planning systems, custodian integrations, etc.
  • Solid oral, written, presentation, collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems.
  • Previous Salesforce experience is a massive plus. 
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies.
