Department OverviewAvigilon, a Motorola Solutions company, designs, develops, and manufactures video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions. Avigilon's solutions have been installed at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.
Job Description
The Regional Sales Director will be reporting to the Sr Sales Director for the Northeast of Avigilon Corporation (“Avigilon”), the Regional Sales Director holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about security solutions and is highly customer-focused and efficient.
The Regional Sales Director will be responsible but not limited to the following:
Supervise and manage the regional sales teams and other key personnel as assigned
Manage quota targets of assigned Regional sales and other key personnel assigned
Provide on-job observation and training with assigned employees
Work towards achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals assigned to territory and direct reports
Create a positive work environment and utilize team building skills with direct reports
Provide performance assessment of direct reports
Create demand in vertical market targets as assigned
Participate in Business Development activities within Avigilon Corporation and assigned activities
Participate with Business Development department and all employees within department to create new business opportunity, pursue new markets, and to ensure that direct reports are leveraging the resources assigned to vertical markets and territories
Create and execute yearly business plans for assigned territory
Create and execute staffing plans for assigned territory
Manage pipelines to ensure business opportunity creation and proper management with assigned direct reports
Manage expenses of direct reports as prescribed
Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities and close sales orders
Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives
Work with Senior Directors to present ideas and solutions for the following, current market challenges, new growth strategies, new customer programs, employee incentive programs, compensation programs, and others areas
Promote and sell Avigilon’s products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory
Conduct sales calls, schedule “local” promotional work and regularly with discipline track sales activities with all channel and, end user opportunities using Avigilon’s Salesforce.com lead and project tracking software database
Source, qualify, select and manage: integrators, VARs (value added resellers)
Oversee and manage the sale of Avigilon’s products and services within the specified territory
Prepare proposals and quotes for prospective customers and provide them with published prices, and information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates
Discounts beyond the published price pages must be proposed and reviewed with the Sr Sales Director
Work on key deals to help define and oversee how our products are deployed
Provide product and sales training to manufacturer representatives, integrators, and end-users to help them understand our products including how and when they should be used according to their specific application
Supervise, manage, installations at customer sites and in key accounts as needed in order to assure proper commissioning of the system and confirmation of customer expectations and requirements
Attend tradeshows and professionally participate in booth duty within the Avigilon booth at various marketing events
Participate in the development of training materials
Feedback end user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases
Compile data on competitive products and pricing and report it back to head office, maintain working knowledge of competitive offerings
Identify key surveillance market influencers, establish contact with them, and demonstrate to them the superiority and utility of our products
Other:
Travel extensively throughout your assigned territory as required. We would expect this to exceed 50% of your time (this may include travel on short notice from time to time)
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (you may be required to provide your driver's abstract from time to time) and be able to drive your own vehicle for travel within the assigned territory
North American travel, including travel by air, will be required from time to time

Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 4+ years sales experience OR 8+ years of sales experience
