Position Summary:

Position Title: Sales Executive

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Chicago, IL

Reports to: Sales Lead

Commitment Length: Minimum 2 years

Collaborates with: Potential customers and current users, Customer Success Department, Service Information Department, various NowPow administrative staff, and select third party vendors

 

Position Description:

This position will join the Sales team to drive sales growth in new and existing markets. Primary responsibilities include conducting sales outreach and follow up, scheduling meetings and calls, managing communication with prospective customers, and conducting research on topics relevant to the company.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify market-qualified leads and conduct extensive outreach
  • Monitor and conduct rigorous follow up on all assigned opportunities
  • Manage and update NowPow’s CRM system (Insightly) including contact information, leads, and opportunities
  • Write content for Request for Proposals (RFPs) released by prospective customers
  • Present the NowPow story and pitch to individuals, small groups, and large audiences in a variety of settings
  • Demo NowPow’s technology to prospective customers and clients
  • Manage relationships with prospective customers via email, phone, and video conference
  • Coordinate scheduling for calls, meetings, and events across departments 
  • Compile reports on hospital systems, health care centers, and health insurance companies to prepare team for sales meetings
  • Assist with company’s social media strategy and management
  • Assist in the creation of content for website and social media (e.g. press releases, corporate announcements, blog posts, other creative content)
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach target customers, including social media campaigns, conferences, start-up showcases, and other events
  • Conduct research on a wide range of issues and topics relevant to NowPow (e.g. health care, housing, and criminal justice) and present findings to the team

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, social science, English, or related field
  • Sales and marketing experience is strongly preferred
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Administrative experience e.g. scheduling, managing email correspondence on behalf of a supervisor or organization
  • Customer service experience
  • Qualitative research experience
  • Familiarity with healthcare ecosystem and health IT industry
  • Public speaking experience
  • Familiarity with Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools
  • Familiarity with MailChimp or other similar mass communication platforms
  • A strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and similar creative tools
  • Comfort working in a start-up environment
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
  • The ability to be candid and forthright and conduct oneself with maturity and integrity in all situations
  • Charismatic attitude and willingness to work on a dynamic mixture of tasks no matter how big or small
  • Commitment to social impact initiatives and helping underserved communities
