THE POSITION:

 

We are seeking to hire an Institutional Account Representative in Chicago or Nashville, but a remote position is possible for the right candidate. This position will play a key role on the Institutional team at YCharts, helping to drive sales and build relationships with Asset Managers and other large organizations. This person will have a focus on identifying and acquiring new customers within this channel, as well as solidifying and expanding existing relationships.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Develop relationships with asset management and product manufacturers where there are currently only a small number of YCharts users, with the goal to make them champions of the product internally and drive awareness of the YCharts platform within their organization, ultimately leading to large expansion deals.

  • Prospect for new clients through outbound calls, emails, and conference attendance

  • Respond to inbound product and sales inquiries

  • Work closely with Marketing and Product Teams

  • Demo YCharts to prospects, work them through a trial process, and close deals



 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: 

 

  • Minimum 2 years prior wholesaling experience at a financial services or asset management firm

  • Bachelor degree with a business related concentration preferred

  • Experience working within a distribution team at an asset manager

  • Familiarity with the financial advisor, broker dealer, and RIA vertical

  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented and well organized

  • Ability to prospect within a targeted group of prospects

  • Broad market knowledge

  • Mutual fund and ETF product knowledge

 

DIFFERENTIATING ATTRIBUTES

  • Recent internal/external wholesaling experience

  • Employs a consultative approach

  • Ability to present and work with all levels of an organization
