Farmer’s Fridge was founded in Chicago in 2013 with the mission of making wholesome, delicious food easily accessible, so people can live a little happier and healthier. Our network of 300+ software-enabled smart Fridges vend handcrafted salads, grain bowls, sandwiches, and more. We are striving to change the food system from the ground up – one Fridge at a time.

As Sales Development Representative, you will identify new sales opportunities across multiple industries, including healthcare and education, by qualifying accounts, navigating organizational structures, and securing meetings. Regional growth is essential to fuel Farmer's Fridge ability to expand, so this is a critical role!

In a typical week, the Sales Development Representatives will…

  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, increasing our sales pipeline by 50% in 2019
  • Qualify leads and schedule prospect appointments through outbound calls, emails, and in person visits
  • Represent the vision and mission of Farmers Fridge to potential partners
  • Proactively seek new business in the market
  • Assist with the preparation of and attend client meetings with Sales Account Executives
  • Prioritize prospects and position relevant product features to solve business needs
  • Provide administrative assistance & support to Sales Team by creating, organizing, and tracking leads using SalesForce.com

What are we seeking in our Sales Development Representatives? 

  • Excellent communicator and skilled negotiator
  • Familiar with multiple sales techniques; including navigating initial objection conversations
  • Ability to deliver engaging front end sales pitch to set appointment
  • Very Organized and able to manage multiple different project details 
  • Passionate about our mission to bring fresh, nutritious food to everyone
  • Prioritize prospects and position relevant product features to solve business needs
  • Ability to identify qualify accounts and prioritize daily activities - including phone calls, emails, and drop-ins - around these accounts

Requirements for the Sales Development Representatives?

  • High school Diploma/GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller
  • Experience with meeting quotas preferred, not required
  • Drive to grow professionally and excel in a results-driven environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and be comfortable asking questions and seeking answers
