The Sales Operations data team at Upwork is responsible for providing sales with reporting and insights by using data visualization tools, automated reporting, AI driven models and data integrations. As the Sales Operations Manager on this team, you will lead and manage the team of Sales Operations Data Analysts and be responsible for prioritizing and completing data driven projects for our enterprise sales team. Your ability to mobilize the team of analysts to deliver relevant, timely insights to the sales team will directly affect our enterprise sales organization’s growth and performance.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build an amazing team by coaching and mentoring the team of sales operations analysts
  • Partner with Sales Operations leaders and Enterprise Sales leaders to align data driven projects with company initiatives
  • Work with product engineering and analytics teams to align on sales and finance standards
  • Identify and lead scalable solutions to support an ever-growing sales team and customer base, optimizing existing practices and identifying new opportunities for operational maturity
  • Develop and cross train team members in order to diversify and improve their skill sets

What it takes to catch our eye:

  • You have 5 years of Sales Operations experience, preferably in the tech sector or other data-driven business
  • 2 years experience managing and developing technical teams
  • You are already familiar with tools from our sales operations tech stack (Snowflake SQL, DOMO, Salesforce, Einstein)
  • You are strategic, comfortable working on complex problems
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate difficult conversations
  • Strong analytical acumen with ability to deep dive into data, extract insights and provide practical recommendations back to the business
